Rd16 #winning team: Feeder club triumphs

Señor Winning June 26, 2012 No Comments

In a monster week of DT, it was little surprise to see some massive scores. No less than 83 coaches cracked the tonne – significantly more than previous weeks. And remember, there were no Sharks or Warriors there to help us out, so it was a good effort across the board.

So who made it to the top? That would be Robert, and his side Horries Heros, with a casual score of 1,095. Seem familiar? DreamTeamers can exclusively reveal that Horries Heros are indeed the feeder side for the mighty Horry’s Horrendos, coached by our very own . So, what wisdom has the master coach imparted on Robert to get him to #1 this week? Let’s take a look at his side and see if we can pick up any clues…

At the back, Ben Barba (99), Jarryd Hayne (66), and Josh Dugan (60) were a handy trio, with Konrad Hurrell lurking on the bench. The Dummy’s Half punted Barba a few weeks back, but thankfully Robert didn’t follow this piece of advice.

Centres Jamie Lyon (52), Chris McQueen (60) and Tautau Moga (51) proved a good balance of experience and youth, getting the job done. McQueen is perhaps the in-form cheapie at the moment, but you can’t help but feel his run of playing 80 minutes in the forwards will come to an end as soon as Sam Burgess returns to the field.

Halves DCE (48), Cronk (37), Reynolds (52) and Sezer (43) didn’t have the best weekend, but this will be a place where much of the Heros’ points are made.

Robert certainly followed the DH in getting Woods (48), but is also rocking Trent Merrin (47) in the front row.

In at hooker, Cameron Smith (66) got the job done, with Josh Reynolds (33) potentially chipping in from the bench.

The second row is where Robert did a lot of his damage, with Nathan Hindmarsh (106), CP13 (86), WATMOUGH~! (70) and Fensom (55) all contributing.

An excellent round, Robert. The Dummy’s Half is proud of you.
