Un felt that it was quite nice that big scoring back rowers Tony Williams and Liam Fulton both decided that they wanted to make a return this week, only days after people traded them out (well, traded Fulton out at least).
So the question remains, will both, one or neither of them play?
In the case of Williams, DreamTeamers.com.au can EXCLUSIVELY reveal that he won’t be playing. He has only just started running properly following his back injury and is yet to have a full session with the rest of the team, so he won’t be back until at least next week.
Does that rule out Origin? Certainly not. There is still every chance that Ricky Stuart will select him and/or Glenn Stewart for game three, and wait on the results of medicals, which Un feels is a great idea. As can be seen by the graphic, Un is hoping T-Rex can turn Lang Park into Jurassic Park, particularly the end where he comes in and destroys all the little Ben Barba type Velociraptors to let the good guys win. Unfortunately, the inside mail is neither Williams or Stewart will play.
On the other side of the coin we have Liam Fulton. A mysterious rib injury has left Fulton and Tigers officials in the dark about a return to the field. It isn’t an injury which is completely new to him, but a very painful one, and one which can have dire consequences if the painkilling injections needed to play go wrong. There is still every chance that he will take the field on Monday night, but if he does so, don’t expect him to be at his normal scoring self, with his defensive work-rate to be down, and none of the hospital pass hit-ups he usually takes.
Do you have either Williams or Fulton? Do you think either will play this weekend? Let us know what you think.
