The Postman and Chairman Un have the scoop on Round 16… what DT questions did you need answering?

Heads up DreamTeamers - your DT questions now have answers.

The Dream Team Scoop: ROUND 16 with your local Postman and Chairman Un.

From Luke Skywalker - Forcing us to answer a post on DreamTeamers.com.au

“So it seems Ben Smith has finally been brought into the starting side for the Eels with Matt Ryan holding his spot. Given that it’s Ben Smith’s 3rd game his pricing is likely to change, do you think he will hold his starting value of 200k? Is it worth cashing in Matt Ryan now for him? I don’t have either of their BE’s???”

The Postman replies…

Ben Smith is a very average footy player who was only ever relevant in DT because he kept getting picked as a dual position player (thus in the centres as well as the second row). He’s got 25-30 tackles written all over him with next to no runs or tackle breaks or offloads. Matt Ryan has actually done something for Dream Teams this season, so don’t trade him for a niff nuff – use his cash to upgrade, because that’s really all you should be doing in the big spots like 2RF at this stage of the season.

From Clarence Va’a - via Twitter…

“Have Aidan Sezer, Moltzen and Adam Reynolds but wanna upgrade to two of Prince, Cronk  or Benji. when is a good round to sell?”

The Postman replies…

I traded Sezer for Daly Cherry-Evans last week and while watching Sezer go over for two soft tries (and score 60 odd points), DCE still got high 40s and he’s clearly the better option for the end of the season. Benji will drop in price with a break-even around the 3 figure mark so he looks a good option in the next fortnight, while you can’t trust the Prince we’re seeing now is not just a flash in the pan compared to the Prince we saw for the last 18 months. If you trade at this stage – trade up, so target Cronk or Benji when you think they will be their cheapest over the next month and maximise the value you get for moving Reynolds, Moltzen or Sezer.

From Nick McCarthy - serial question asker guy

“Who is the better long-term option, Peter Wallace or Corey Norman?”

Chairman Un replies…

“For starters, great question, t’s a shame we can’t get more like these. In Un’s sacred opinion, Wallace is the better option long term (as in the rest of this year). Norman is still learning at 5/8th, and will continue to do so for the rest of this year. His last month or so has shown that maybe he’s peaked for 2012, but that isn’t to say he’s one to trade out. The thing that probably pushes Un towards Wallace is the kick metres. He dominates these from Norman, and is able to match him in most other categories, so Un says Wallace.”
