Señor Winning has all the big news, and with team list Tuesday comes some of the biggest DT news of the week.
Everyone loves a good positional change, especially when one of your players moves into a more favourable position.
You can imagine then how almost the entire DreamTeamers universe was sent into fits of pure, unadulterated joy when Josh McGuire was named at lock for the Broncos’ Friday night match with the Rabbitohs.
Already a DT gun, the move to the back of the scrum tends to indicate he’ll continue to play big minutes. He managed 67 points in his 66 minutes on the field against the Cowboys, so expect much of the same this weekend, making him a viable captain option.
That does leave us with a bit of a problem, however… Corey Parker, anyone? According to the Broncos site, CP13 is racing the clock to be back for Petero Civoniceva’s 300th NRL appearance. And while he’s indicated he wants to play, whether he’ll be cleared or not is another thing entirely. If he does play, this might mean McGuire might push back to the bench…
So DreamTeamers, are you considering slapping the ‘C’ on McGuire this week? What about CP13 – is he still in your squad? There’s only one thing for certain – the Late Mail is going to be insane this Friday.
In other news, the Heart Break Kid Steve Michaels has been named as the Titans’ 18th man. He scored an unbelievable 46 last week, thanks largely to a runaway try. Amazingly, he has a BE of -5 and at $83,400, has there been a better time than to snap up HBK? Only time will tell. Ha!
